Upcoming EventsRegularly Scheduled Monthly EventsOutreach The congregation is very supportive of the Outreach program. Outreach also helps support the local Hope Center. One category of merchandise is concentrated on each month. Is the Hope Center on your grocery list? Imagine the difference our church could make if each of us bought one nonperishable item per week for the Hope Center. Keep us the good work. Thank you to all who make donations to the Hope Center. MembershipMembership: Start planning for another restaurantouring event in June and Christian Family Day at Busch Stadium on July 19, 2008. Education We offer Christian Education Classes for all ages, including adults .Invite and bring a friend. We are all learners and need to be engaged in the regular study of God's Word. Are you? Worship The worship department has purchased new banners to be used throughout the year. One of them is now hanging above the pulpit in the sanctuary. We will celebrate our fathers and all men during our worship service on Sunday June 15. Summer is a time for taking off: from school and to fun destinations. Do not take time off from worship services. Come and praise God with us. OtherBoard Meeting - Second Sunday monthly, immediately following services. Ladies Program! Ladies monthly breakfast meeting on the second Saturday of each month at 8:30am at Crystal's Restaurant. Men's Fellowship: The men continue to meet for breakfast at the church on the first Sunday of each month at 7:30am. (On hold for summer)
The Joint Paris Search Committee met on Monday, May 12 to review information on eleven potential ministerial candidates. We felt some of those candidates did not meet our needs and that some of them were potentially a better fit than others. We are in the process of contacting each of these individuals to get more information and plan to meet again before the end of May. We are also collecting information about Pike County and the surrounding area to send to them. We felt your prayers at our meeting. Thank you for supporting us in this way. Please continue your prayers as we move forward in our search. We felt very good about the profiles we received and blessed to have so many to review. BRING US YOUR ALUMINUM CANS !! Youth is adopting a family next Christmas. Your assistance and support is appreciated in collecting and bringing your aluminum cans to the youth room at the Church.
